Last week was a doozy, so I’m going to gather a bunch of links that meant a lot to me here as a keepsafe and ICYMI.
The Locus Recommended Reading List came out and, for the first time, I’m on it, in terrific company, in three categories. Still stunned. Thanks to all who liked Cloudbound (Tor), The Jewel & Her Lapidary (Tor.com), and “Only Their Shining Beauty Was Left” (Shimmer) enough to recommend them.
The Kansas City Science Fiction and Fantasy Society announced its spring reading selections, including Updraft – very excited to see this!
BookRiot included Updraft among 100 Must Read Science Fiction and Fantasy Debuts!
I talked to Geekadelphia about my guest episode for Serial Box’s The Witch Who Came in From The Cold (I’ll be on reddit this week, too).
This month’s Lightspeed Magazine‘s subscription readers can see a snippet of “Happenstance,” a new story from me for the FutureScapes anthology. I’ll be teaching at the FutureScapes Writers’ Workshop in April along with Naomi Novik, Mary Robinette Kowal, agent Dongwon Song, editor Navah Wolfe and others… check it out!
And last but absolutely not least, I announced a new partnership with Mighty Writers, called #Mightyfirstmondays to highlight young Philadelphia writers’ voices. Look for it on Instagram and Twitter especially, but also learn more about Mighty Writers. I’ll be doing a more work with this organization in the near future.
